Kawasaki H2

Yes I know my blog has ‘Cars’ in the title but I do need to provide coverage of all my favourite vehicles & the Kawasaki H2 & Kawasaki H2R are certainly up there, as rather special motorbikes. To be clear I do not own one of these machines (well not just yet). The Kawasaki H2 is one singularly purposeful & focused motorbike. It’s not just about the awesome power & torque but the cutting edge engine technology with an integral supercharger that spins to 140,000 RPM. Linear power is available throughout the whole rev range of this staggering 998 cc engine. If you stay with me you’ll see the engine capacity of 998 cc has several good experiences for me (in the car world?).

A signature Green Trellis frame with the quality of welding the best I have seen in a motor vehicle. Such attention to detail in the Kawasaki H2 is mind-blowing.

Silver mirror paint actually has a layer of Silver applied, to create the shiny mirror like finish.

I have sat on this motorbike & it really is a very small machine overall.

The Kawasaki H2 looks like it is doing 200 mph at standstill & it really can easily exceed this speed milestone.

A motorbike with effectively a bucket seat tells you head on that this motorbike really does pull your arm’s from their sockets.

A 0-100 mph standing start acceleration in 4.8 seconds is rather quick.

A sixth gear (top gear) acceleration of 60-80 mph in 2.7 seconds is simply ridiculous!

The rarely seen view – other road users see for 1 millisecond in their rear view mirror!

The view other road users see 99.99 % of the time, of the Kawasaki Ninja H2

The rear silencer is sort of okay but has to comply with noise regulations. With the low build numbers ever to be produced of this exotic motorbike, do we really need to enforce such a restriction on one of the best motorbikes in the world! This exhaust should be fully on show & tuned to deliver one of the best sounds ever for a petrol engine. An inconel or a thin wall stainless steel or a full titanium exhaust system is the way to go for this Ninja.

I’m a big fan of Jay Leno & this YouTube video clip is one of the best ones describing the Kawasaki H2 & H2R. Simply awesome! Highly recommended viewing!
